Larry has been in the industry since 1977 where he started as an R&R tech in a small shop in Long Beach, California. The owner of that shop was fond of him and taught him everything he needed to know about the transmission industry. Larry then moved his family to Northern California in 1989 and has worked for Dirks Automotive and Transmission ever since. He has been committed to the continuation of education and training by attending technical seminars and courses throughout his career.


During Larry’s years of training he has also been learning and performing general auto repair. As a member of the Sonnax Task Force Team and part of the Dirks Automotive and Transmission management team Larry has put his training and skills to good use while being relied upon to help with special projects within the business.
